Chef Peter Ireland and Entrepreneur Jay Peterson set out to build a small neighborhood cafe with a big taste for fine dining. Inspired by traditional french cuisine combined with the region's Scandinavian heritage and local ingredients, The Lynn sought to bring together the northern culture around a big table of rich warmth.

In building an identity for the restaurant, we worked closely with the founders creating a visual sensibility to reflect the food and dining experience. The cafe was modern and refined, yet layered with textural in it's reclaimed barn wood details and large communal dining table. The juxtaposition of these types of elements inspired an identity system reflective of the location and the community.

The logo for the Lynn is symbolic in the intersection of streets and buildings creating the corner where the restraunt settled in- 50th and Bryant in the Lynnhurst neighborhood. A minimal color palette and small textural details and materials added a refined yet authentic sensibility to a small neighborhood cafe.
